Questions?
Do you stay in my house?
Yes! This way your pet can stay in the comfort of your own home. If you prefer a pet sitter that doesn’t stay in your house, I’m not the sitter for you.
How do you deal with keys?
Whatever works best for you! If you have a key, I will grab it either at your free home visit, will swing by before you head out, or will have you leave it in a secure/hidden location. I will either leave the key inside (and leave through the garage if applicable), leave it in a secure/hidden location, or swing by when you come back and drop it off. See more information on my Security page.
Are you comfortable with needy pets?
I don’t mind needy pets and have no trouble with more complicated tasks, like administering medicine, etc. However, I do have my limits and I also work outside of pet sitting so may not be the pet sitter for you if your pet needs someone around all day. If you have multiple pets that require a lot of attention, still feel free reach out. I will likely watch any pet at least once but will let you know if it does not seem like a good fit for us.
How far in advance should I schedule?
Schedule a home visit as soon as you know you will be needing a pet sitter. For pet sitting services, you can schedule up to 2 months away, but my schedule changes frequently. If you want to schedule something further away, please contact me.
How do I pay you?
I take Venmo and cash! I am flexible with other payments, so let me know if either of those don’t work for you.
Will you bring people over?
I will not bring over anyone if you don’t want me to. I will absolutely respect any boundaries you set. However, if you are ok with it, I would love to bring my partner over or an occasional friend (we all love pets, it’s hard to resist!).
Will you eat my food?
Similar to the question above, I will respect any boundaries you set and I do tend to bring my own food. However, many folks do encourage me to eat some of their food, especially things that might go bad while they’re away. If there is anything you wish for me to stay away from, let me know! There is no expectation for you to feed me or leave food, but smaller things like condiments, coffee, milk, etc. would be super helpful so I don’t need to bring as many things!
How long are you willing to watch my pet?
I have found that about 10-14 days is about all I can do at once. If you need more than that, I am still happy to do it, but please let me know in advance!
